A quintessential piece of late-1970s / early-1980s catalog-era mojo, this Vintage Harmony H-805 Electric Bass pairs classic garage-rock styling with punchy, thumpy vintage bass tone. Built as the direct bass counterpart to Harmony’s well-known H-801 and H-802 electric guitars, the H-805 features a double-cutaway solid body finished in gloss Candy Apple Red with a matching red headstock face.
The instrument is powered by a central chrome-cased vintage single-coil pickup, controlled via simple, intuitive master Volume and Tone controls mounted on a 1-ply black pickguard. What makes this specific example stand out is the presence of its original factory chrome covers—both the curved chrome pickup handrest and the rear "ashtray" bridge cover remain fully intact, two pieces of hardware that are almost universally removed and lost over the decades.
The bass is in good, authentic vintage player-grade condition. The body exhibits genuine natural relic wear, including finish chips, dings, and edge flaking across the back and lower perimeter from decades of active playing. The neck remains straight, frets have plenty of life, and the neck plate retains its original factory model identifier tag ("H-805") along with the original gold inspection sticker.
